I did not spend much money on this build at all. For what it is worth - I got an pretty cool case from one of those electronic recyclers.

Freezes all the time/Explorer crashes (although I never shut anything off and apparently its running at 25gb of ram usage lol) - XMP is on so now so the memory has gotten faster.

It really is not meant for power users

Does not have iGPU but this is all about setting up for an i9 future build.

The GPU doesnt boost over 3.9 for some reason even with an oem intel i9 cooler.

  • Unknown - free from a PC recycler that came mostly complete. trashed the rest other then the case. Couldn't have bought a better case...

  • Intel i5-12400F 6 core with 32GB DDR4 3200mhz on a Omen by HP 40L Gaming Desktop GT21-0xxx HP Z690 motherboard - 200 - I actually really like the Omen screen when loading up and the case originally shipped with a liquid cooler for the CPU so it has lots of fan ports on the motherboard. That being said it will only boot past bios with by turning off its fan protection since I do not have a water cooler and have not used all the fan ports. Its bios options are also almost nonexistent. For a 220 dollar out of pocket build... its acceptable.

  • Power supply from my old server - free

  • 1070ti reused from by i7 gaming rig I turned into my new Unraid Server - free

  • New OEM i9 intel cooler (looks fancy and matches the leds on the case) - 20?

  • Samsung S980 NVME - swapped from gaming rig
